  • Day-of cancellations – Full payment may be required depending on the circumstances, since time was reserved exclusively for your pet(s).

Are meet & greets required?

  • House Sitting – Yes, meet & greets are required. Since I’ll be caring for your pets in your home, it’s important to review routines, tour the space, and make sure that both parties are comfortable.

  • Boarding – Meet & greets are not required but are highly recommended. This gives your dog a chance to meet me in a neutral, public setting first, helping them feel more comfortable before their stay.

How long does a meet & greet usually take?

Most meet & greets last 20–30 minutes. This allows time to go over care instructions, answer questions, and let your pets warm up.

Where does the meet & greet happen?

  • House Sitting – At your home so your pets feel comfortable in their own environment.

  • Boarding – At a nearby public park or mutually convenient location.

What should I prepare for the meet & greet?

  • Your pet(s) on a leash (for dogs)

  • Updated vaccination records

  • Any special treats or training tools you use

  • A list of routines (feeding, walking, medications, bedtime, etc.)

What happens during the meet & greet?

  • I’ll introduce myself to your pet and let them approach at their own pace.

  • I’ll review routines, medical needs, and any behavior quirks.

  • If house sitting, you’ll show me around your home and explain where supplies are kept.

  • I’ll answer your questions and confirm if I am the right fit.

Do you require proof of vaccinations?

Yes, I require proof of up-to-date vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella) for the safety of all pets in my care.

What if my pet is shy or anxious?

I am experienced with nervous and shy pets. The meet & greet allows us to see how they warm up and discuss strategies to make them feel secure while you’re away.

Is there a fee for a meet & greet?

No, meet & greets are complimentary. This is a necessary step to make sure your pets are comfortable and you feel confident in my care.

What if the meet & greet shows it’s not the right fit?

That’s okay! If it seems like it’s not a match, I’ll be upfront and can help suggest alternatives. My top priority is your pet’s happiness and safety. This is a frequently asked question.
