Frequently asked questions.

Do you require a meet and greet?

Yes. A meet & greet is required for all new clients before booking boarding, house sitting, or other pet care services. This allows us to get to know you and your pet, discuss their routine and needs, and ensure we're a great fit for one another.

What areas do you service?

Haus of Tails proudly serves Lower Westchester County, including surrounding communities. If you're unsure whether you're within our service area, feel free to reach out—we're happy to help.

How do I book a service?

To get started, complete our Book Now form. Once received, we'll contact you to discuss your pet's needs, confirm availability, and schedule a meet & greet for all new clients. After the meet & greet, you'll receive a Pet Profile Form. Bookings are confirmed once the required deposit has been received.

What should I bring for my dog's boarding stay?

Please bring enough food and treats for your pet's entire stay, any medications with clear instructions, and any comfort items you'd like them to have, such as a favorite toy, blanket, or bed. Familiar items help your pet feel more relaxed and comfortable in a new environment.

How will I receive updates during my pet's stay?

We love keeping pet parents connected! You'll receive regular photo and video updates, along with messages about how your pet is doing throughout their stay, so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

What happens in the event of an emergency?

If your pet becomes ill or is injured while in our care, we will make every effort to contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached, we will seek veterinary care based on the emergency authorization provided in your Pet Profile Form. Your pet's health and safety will always be our top priority.

What vaccinations are required?

For the health and safety of all pets in our care, we ask that dogs are up to date on their core vaccinations. If you have any questions about vaccination requirements, please don't hesitate to contact us before booking.

Where can I view your policies?

You can find our booking, payment, cancellation, and care policies on our Policies page. We encourage all clients to review them before confirming their booking.
